Release notes for the Esper Genesis Master Technician’s Guide module.

The current release requires Foundry VTT v14 and the dnd5e system (minimum 5.0.0, verified against 6.0.6). Unlike the Threats Database, this module also requires the Esper Genesis Core Manual, version 1.2.0 or later, which provides its linked rules content, actor types and starship sheets.

Troubleshooting

“Cannot be enabled due to issues in required dependencies”

This means the Esper Genesis Core Manual is installed but is older than version 1.2.0. While the Core Manual functions on its own, it is an earlier release than this module requires to function. When this occurs, the Foundry’s module list shows the message: “This dependency is older than the minimum required version 1.2.0.”

To fix it, open Add-on Modules on the setup screen, update the Esper Genesis Core Manual to 1.2.0 or later, then enable the Master Technician’s Guide. Foundry does not update modules automatically, so the Core Manual remains at whatever version was installed until updated manually.

Also, make sure your version of Foundry VTT is at least v14 and the dnd5e system is a minimum of 5.0.0. The module functions correctly regardless of the dnd5e Rules Version (Legacy 2014 / Modern 2024).
